Clean Water Comes to Oltukai Village

Project History

For generations, Maasai women in Oltukai have walked over 20 miles a day in search of water—carrying heavy containers, often with children on their backs. Despite all the effort, the water they found was often unsafe and unclean.

But now, that story is beginning to change.

Our First Borehole Is Complete

On June 1st, 2025, something amazing happened.
We completed our very first borehole well in Oltukai Village — delivering clean, safe, and reliable water to hundreds of families.

This life-changing project was made possible thanks to the incredible support of Mila for Africa Foundation, whose generosity and belief in our community’s future made this dream come true.

What This Means for Our People

Women and girls will now spend less time walking for water—and more time in school, with family, or building small businesses.

Children will be healthier and better nourished.

The whole community will have improved hygiene, dignity, and opportunities to grow.

Thank You, Mila for Africa Foundation!
This project is more than a water source. It’s hope, health, and freedom for the people of Oltukai.

We are deeply grateful to Mila for standing with us.
Together, we are creating a future where no woman has to suffer for water again.
