Meet the Team

Kipelyani Olesisian

Founder & Director.

Oltukai Community Development Organization (OCDO)

With over 6 years of running projects to support my community, I’m truly honored by how far this journey has come.

At Oltukai Village, where I was born and raised, in the Kwakwechinja Wildlife Corridor between Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Parks. Growing up in this remote Maasai village, I witnessed the struggles faced by vulnerable children, women, and youth challenges that inspired me to take action.

In 2020, I brought together 25 children under a tree to begin teaching them. That moment was the beginning of what would later become Oltukai Community Development Organization (OCDO). With support from friends and visitors who believed in the vision, we built a simple wooden classroom. Today, we are campaigning to build a full primary school, and we’ve already received support for two classrooms from The Vijay & Shama Bhardwaj Foundation.

Through OCDO, I’ve also led clean water projects, women’s empowerment programs, and youth leadership initiatives all grounded in protecting our Maasai culture and the natural environment we call home.

This journey has been both humbling and powerful. On behalf of my community and the OCDO team, I thank everyone who has walked with us. Your trust and support make everything possible and we still need you as we continue building a better future
